UES and Midtown Art Gallery Tours
Upon booking, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us how we can customize the tour for you and yours. Tell us which museum or museums interest you, when you’d like to tour, and a bit about yourself or your group.
The Upper East Side/ UES galleries tend to be more refined and tony, especially those situated in townhouses. Gagosian, Acquavella Gallery, Jack Tilton, and Luxembourg & Dayan are among the many gallery mainstays. Blum & Poe on 66th is among the newer galleries in the area connecting the traditional UES gallery district with those gathered along 57th in midtown. Among the 57th Street Midtown galleries you’ll get a more commercial gallery feel during your guided art tour, yet we’ll be able to see spaces more quickly as they are often located in suites neighboring one another.
We can visit about 6-10 art galleries during your two-hour guided gallery tour, or explore longer and more if you prefer. We put the gallery and works in context in a manner that invites discovery and discussion. Along the way, you’ll get an overview of the Upper East Side/ UES and Midtown gallery scene. As we do not offer public group tours, all of our tours are private tours. Your tour will be led by a qualified art historian with a background in modern and contemporary art and experience in the field.
