Private Guided Tours of The Cloisters Museum

Entirely devoted to medieval European art, architecture and gardens, The Met Cloisters Museum will provide you with a rich, evocative experience. You’ll encounter reassembled portions of original European medieval buildings, gorgeous gardens, the treasured Unicorn Tapestries, and stunning stained glass windows. Located in peaceful Fort Tyron Park on a magnificent bluff overlooking the Hudson River, The Met Cloisters offers a respite from the bustling city, and a charming visit to Europe’s past.

During The Met Costume Institute’s 2018 Exhibit, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” one will be able to explore the show while touring The Met Cloisters museum galleries. The exhibition is throughout the main galleries from May 10 until October 8, 2018.

Upon booking, you’ll be able to tell us what you are most interested in exploring at The Cloisters; is it the architecture, gardens or the art that appeals to you most? With that, we’ll start creating your customized Met Cloisters museum guided art tour just for you and yours. Your art historian guide will meet you in the museum lobby with your tickets in hand — so you won’t have to wait in line to get your tickets.

Pricing Questions

Private tours for 1 – 4 people in your group booked online* start at $225 per hour (a 5% discount over tours booked via email or phone). All tours have a two-hour minimum. Additional people and/or additional time have an additional fee. Museum admission needs to be added for each person. This is added during your booking. We will get your tickets ahead of time for you. So you can skip the lines!

* For those who need a bit more service via email and phone, our pricing begins at $225 per hour for 1 – 4 people. Larger groups are $50 per adult, $25 per child.
