Get a taste of the New York City art scene with ART SMART’s latest offering.

Curious about art but want it to be relevant and engaging? Skip your usual in favor of our Culture & Cocktails outings. Mingle with other curious, authentic locals to discover how the latest cultural exhibitions and a new generation of artists on New York’s art scene are using art as a catalyst for change. We’ll meet at art venues like The Metropolitan Museum of Art or Chelsea galleries. Afterwards, we’ll head for wine, drinks & cultural conversation. Drinks and treats and be purchased a la carte.

Each event is led by an ART SMART art expert; we aim to create meaningful and personal experiences which connect individuals with art and culture in an approachable, engaging manner. Nothing silly or stuffy here.

Each tour in the series will have its own unique theme.

Proud of Pride – A cultural exploration featuring the LGBTQ+ community in Chelsea. We’ll look at art by members of the community, discuss the meaning of pride, and tie in other Pride Month events happening around the city.

The Art of Seeing Diversity – Explore the multitude of ways artists interpret, approach, and represent diversity at some of Chelsea’s top galleries.

Understanding Innovation – See drivers of innovation through the lens of art and culture at The Met Museum. Explore ideas and technologies that changed the world, understanding and discussing how they originated and who they benefitted.

Date: Friday, June 14  Time: 6 – 7:30 pm  Location: The Met  Ticket: $65

Attacking Art & Ideology – Go beyond admiring the aesthetics of a particular artist. On this Met Museum tour we’ll dive into the context and meaning behind works of art, learning how art can reflect a bigger social, economic, and political agenda.
